Stopping in my Room on a Hectic Evening

---A Robert Frost Parody

  By the Hopeless Housekeeper

Whose kids these are I think I know.

I do not want to see them, though;

They won't catch me escaping here

If I'm quiet when I go.

You readers all must think it queer

To hide from my own kids in fear

Sneaking a bite of chocolate cake

Listening out with half an ear

But you don’t know what motherhood takes

It’s full of love, but there ain't no breaks

And you’re so tired you want to weep

So escape you must for sanity’s sake

My children are lovely, good and sweet,

But I have a spirit I need to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep

And miles to go before I sleep

Hopeless Housekeeper

Living in a small apartment with three kids can be tough on cleanliness. Especially if you’re always short on time and on a tight budget. Which is why my planned cleanup project kept getting pushed off, day after day, year after year. Then one day I took a good look at my house – and I was horrified. Was this really my house? Was I really such a dysfunctional housekeeper? So I set myself a goal – I am going to get the house in order, but slowly, so it doesn’t feel overwhelming and impossible. Five minutes here and there, whenever I have some spare time. Come join me on my quest for a clean home as I share tips, anecdotes and awesome organizational products that I use..
